CG 20-10013 Reducing Tobacco-Related Disparities in American Indian and Alaskan Native Communities

The purpose of the Reducing Tobacco-Related Disparities in American Indian Communities Request for Application (RFA) is to prevent and reduce the use of commercial tobacco products among California's American Indian/Alaskan Native communities. The term "tobacco" used in this RFA refers to commercial tobacco products. This RFA does not seek to impinge upon the sacred use of traditional or ceremonial tobacco in American Indian communities.

 

CG 19-10011 California Tribal Grants to Reduce Tobacco-Related Disparities

The purpose of the California Tribal Grants to Reduce Tobacco-Related Disparities is to address commercial tobacco-related disparities affecting the American Indian population by directly funding California Tribal Governments and Tribal Government Agencies. This Request for Application (RFA) seeks to fund Tribal Governments to reduce commercial tobacco-related health disparities in American Indian communities through tribal approaches focused on commercial tobacco use prevention and reduction, collaboration, and community engagement. CDPH/CTCP anticipates releasing a total of three waves of funding between February 2019 and November 2019. The first wave of funding was released in February 2019. This RFA is the release of the second wave of funding.

 

The term tobacco used in this RFA refers to commercial tobacco products. This RFA does not seek to impinge upon the sacred use of tobacco (traditional tobacco) in American Indian Communities.
